The final passenger boarding bridge at Almaty International Airport has been upgraded to ThyssenKrupp’s latest generation. Project delivered on schedule with zero terminal downtime during installation — all work completed during nighttime maintenance windows.
Scope
- Replacement of three legacy boarding bridges with ThyssenKrupp APM-100 series.
- Updated control systems with remote diagnostics.
- 40-hour operator training across two shifts.
- Five-year extended technical support contract.
This caps a multi-year modernization programme begun in 2017 with the original four-bridge installation.
